The Science of Getting Rich

Wallace D. Wattles

This Book's Focus

The Blended Path

This is a Practical/Metaphysical Guide
Combining a “scientific”/practical approach to wealth creation based on Universal philosophical principles.

The Science of Getting Rich beautifully brings together the two sides of The Blended Path.

There is the spiritual and metaphysical: Wattles’s belief in a Formless Substance, the creative power of thought, gratitude, faith, and our ability to participate in bringing something from thought into form.

And there is the practical: decide what you want, direct your attention toward it, recognize the opportunities before you, and take action.

I believe both intentional living and conscious manifestation can help us create the lives we dream of. I don’t see them as competing explanations or believe we have to choose one over the other.

That’s the heart of The Blended Path

We can explore both. We can discover what resonates with us. And we can create our own blend of beliefs and practices that supports the way we want to live.

Wattles was writing about this combination more than a century ago, and yet his work continues to resonate with me and countless others.

Why I Value This Book

I still read a printed copy of Wallace D. Wattles’s summary of The Science of Getting Rich, found in Chapter 17, almost daily.

His prose and clarity spoke to me when I first discovered his work and helped begin my journey of exploring my belief that our thoughts become things.

That journey has led me to the work of many other thought and spiritual leaders and to a much deeper exploration of manifestation, intentional living, spirituality, and our role in creating our own lives.

Although Wattles wrote The Science of Getting Rich specifically to teach the creation of financial success through creative thought, I believe his principles apply to so much more than money.

For me, this book is small but mighty. It helped open a door to ideas that have become an important part of how I see the world, and more than a century after it was written, I think it’s still opening doors for readers like you.
