Focus

This Is About Focus It's More Than You Think

There are differences in the kind of focus one can have. There is a disciplined focus in which you eliminate all distractions and devote yourself to the task at hand by concentrating specifically on it.

This is the kind of focus most people think of when they think of focus.  But there is a deeper Focus based on awareness that is the kind of focus I want you to discover.

A type of focus that looks at and examines life and all its moments, a focus that fine-tunes what is seen, heard, felt, and perceived, and directs your attention and actions.

A Living Focus

It’s a thinking focus one that adjusts the lens through which we view the world, deepening our understanding of what we are aware of, what we are trying to achieve in that moment, and what we are trying to achieve in our lives.

It’s a skill as intricate as intuition; however, like intuition, we never learned to use it; we have only been taught the elimination and concentration types of focus.

We have never been exposed at least I wasn’t to the bigger view of what focus is and how we could use it to live a better life, to achieve our dreams by not just eliminating distractions and concentrating but by fine-tuning our perceptions and discerning our attention to our intention and focus on incorporating our intentions into our decisions and actions throughout each day of our lives.

Focus is a friend of intention and creation; it helps maintain our commitment to intentional living and conscious creation of our dreams.

The full picture of focus keeps your eye on the prize, your dreams. Combined with awareness focus points you toward your next step, toward your goals or interests.

Your focus slips into your subconscious, guiding you to keep your eye on the prize, your dreams, and to discern opportunities in your day and life that move you towards your dreams.

This is where serendipity shows up in your life, you start to notice the subject lines, and messages in the books you come across and the things people say and do that trigger your focus to zoom in on your dreams.

You know how you suddenly see cars like the one you are thinking of buying? There aren’t more of these cars on the road, but your internal focus has tuned into your thoughts, and now you see the car everywhere!

This aspect of focus is a lens through which you view your world, acting as a homing device or GPS guidance system to help you stay on track with your daily focus. Showing you the path to your dreams fulfilled.

But most of us don’t use our focus for anything beyond eliminating distractions and concentrating. Those are important and useful components of focus, but the awareness and lens features are even more valuable.

Focus is key in staying on track with our goals, living intentionally, and consciously creating our dreams. Your focus naturally fine-tunes with your thoughts; we need to be aware of what it shows us and that we can direct it to help us move forward toward achieving our dreams.

The Secret

A daily focus is the secret to living a life you love. You can both use your focus to direct your attention and concentration and allow it to guide you to direct your attention to where it matters most in living your dream life.

You must always focus on your goals and dreams to keep them alive and prevent them from becoming a someday wish.

Your internal focus, in tune with your thoughts, helps you recognize the opportunities life has for you to align with your interests, illuminating time wasted on things that don’t support your goals like scrolling on social media or evenings of television and triggering your attention when you see a topic in an article that is about your hobby or life goal to travel to Tibet.

Paying attention to our focus, where we place it, and what it helps us notice is what having a daily focus is all about. Practicing focus, getting organized to prioritize your goals, eliminating distractions, and concentrating on important tasks are all part of using focus.

But the deeper aspects of focus are its magic. Looking at life through a lens that focuses on seeing your world and the opportunities aligned with your values and goals in your daily life will help you live intentionally and consciously create a life you love.

Focus Can Be Tangible and Intangible

There are both practical structured approaches to focusing on our desires and metaphysical practices that can help manifest desires.

As always, I encourage you to choose the approach and practices that resonate with you or try a combination of both. Either gets results, but it depends on your beliefs and mindset as to what works best for you at this time in your journey.

I was raised on structure, yet I thirst for the metaphysical possibilities, and I believe the power of our thoughts and imagination is key to achieving and living our dreams. Remember, there is more to focus. It’s not just eliminating distractions and improving concentration. Have a daily focus on your dreams and see them become reality!
